Jeff (Chef) & Cheese!

Remember Scrunch and Lightening, two of the Fox Lake 7? Well, almost four months into their adoption, these two are thriving in their forever home with volunteer, Laurie, and family! Now known as Jeff (Chef) and Cheese, they’ve truly come into their own.

Jeff was once very dependent on Cheese, always needing to be near his brother, but he has gained so much confidence and now enjoys his own space—though, of course, he still loves a good cuddle! Cheese remains his playful, sweet self and loves being held like a baby. Both boys are full of energy, love to play, and it’s clear Jeff was quite the skilled hunter in his past life.

They’ve settled in beautifully with their family, getting along great with the dogs. Their big feline sister, Hazel, is still figuring things out—she loves watching them romp around and has even started playing a little bit alongside them, though she’s not quite ready to jump all the way in. Their 90-pound orange dog sibling, however, has taken them under his wing, making sure they feel right at home!

These silly boys are full of personality (and not exactly full of grace), which keeps their family endlessly entertained. And when they finally settle down and snuggle together, it’s the most peaceful sight.
